ENSENADA PHOTO TRIP

June 18 , 2005

Cost: $ includes round trip transport by van from San Diego. Drinking water will be provided. You don’t have to be a photographer to participate, there are lots of great restaurants and shopping in the areas we will visit. After the trip we'll get to gether for an evening to view our images. The trip will be limited to 9 participants.

Come with Jim on a one-day photo adventure to Mexico. Ensenada lies only an hour and 15 minutes south of the border, yet it’s surprising how few people have discovered all of it’s wonderful photographic opportunities. From the bustling fish market at the colorful wharf to the Ventana al Mar Park, The downtown area has numerous subjects to photograph. We’ll photograph the harbor scenes, pelicans, sea lions, people, colorful shops and signs, vendors and their wares, and musicians.

Then 40 minutes south of town is the famous blowhole situated out on beautiful Punta Banda. We’ll photograph seascapes, vendors and musicians, the blowhole, and maybe a beautiful sunset.

Also, after the trip we'll get together for an evening of image sharing and critique.

ITINERARY:

We’ll depart at 8:45 a.m. from our meeting spot in San Diego. On the way down we’ll stop at a beautiful viewpoint to take a break and to photograph the colorful architecture and the beautiful scenery.

Upon arriving downtown, we’ll have about three to four hours to photograph all of the sites and eat lunch. Then we’ll make the 40 minute drive out to Punta Banda, perhaps stopping at the city’s most beautiful church on the way. We’ll then spend about two hours around the blowhole, and if it looks like a promising sunset, we’ll get in position to record it. (If the sunset is not looking good we’ll head back downtown a little sooner to get in position to shoot the cityscape at twilight from high on a hill above town.)

We’ll then make the journey north, stopping on the way for a great Mexican food/sea food dinner at a nice
restaurant . We’ll arrive home in San Diego at about 10:30 p.m.

We'll also get together after the trip for an image sharing and critique party.

What past participants of Jim’s Ensenada tours had to say:

.

"The trip was fabulous. I can't even suggest any improvements. The trip was stress-free for me because you knew

where to go, including the restaurants. I really appreciated how you gave pictures from a previous trip out to the folks

in Ensenada. That paved the way for us to take more pictures of them plus it just showed what a nice person you are!

I definitely will take a longer trip with you in the future!" Lisa Chambers, San Diego

...

"Jim, I just wanted to thank you again and tell you how impressed I was with our trip. I will definitely recommend your

trips to anyone I come across who may be interested (and don't be surprised if I end up on a few more myself).

Thanks again and happy shooting in the future!" Joe Italiano San Diego, CA

Thanks for putting together such a great trip! I am happy that I got to experience some new places and become
reacquainted with places I'd seen before.  Your willingness to help with photography tips, knowledge of the area and
language made the trip really special.  Thanks again for a terrific trip.”        Wille Olbaum, San Diego

“Hi Jim, thanks for the group photo trip.  It was a great trip and you are an excellent guide.  You really know your way
